Cherokee Goddess

  Lately I have been thinking alot about my cherokee back ground.  I want to become more involved and learn about this beautiful culture that runs through my blood.  I feel as if in another life I was an Indian princess running through fields of flowers and living from the earth.  The way life should have stayed.  Could you imagine what things would be like if everyone planted their own crops and hunted for their food.  We wouldn't have all this harm happening to our planet.  I recently visited my old wise Yogi friend Stan a man I have know since before I could walk.  I look up to him and his wife so much.  They truly shine like the brightest star in the sky. I showed Stan a video my boyfriend did of me.  I was in a indian head dress dancing on the beach to the sounds of the wind.  I looked at Stan and he had tears running down his face.  It was one of the most beautiful moments I have ever experienced.   Words really cant explain it.  He said something struck him very deep and he remembered a time long ago when he would spend alot of time with Native Americans out west.  He said he can see it in me and knows I am a Indian.  That ment the world to me when he told me that.  Something awakened in me that night and I have been changing things in my daily life since.  Im so grateful for life and the people around me.  Things are shimmering blissfully right now and it feels wonderful.

In the moment

Life is so beautiful.  Sometimes it takes something so small to realize it. Like the salty smell of the sea or a butterfly landing on a petal or a small  child kissing you on the cheek.  We should all love our selves and cherish every moment of our wonderful life.  Things may push us down at times but only we have the strength to lift our bodies back up so we can see beauty once again.  Its all inside of us to feel the pulse of a tree and to see the love in peoples hearts or the thoughts of your closest friend.  Its all inside of us we just have to believe in the energy around us. Life is living and so are we, so sing at the top of your lungs and embrace it my magnificent friends :) Go sit beside your gardens and let your plants know how much you love them and in return they will nourish your body with love.

Fire fly dreams

Film seems to have such a natural beauty about it.  Its pure its true and ohh so beautiful.  There was a little extra film in my camera so my boyfriend and I decided to do a little fun photo shoot.  I wanted to show off my vintage night gown i found in our local thrift store.  So I jumped on the idea when I knew there was some film to spare.When I saw the photos, the first thing that popped into my mind was fire flies.  I imagined a young woman dancing around in a mystical garden with fire flies playing sweet songs with their hypnotizing lights.
